You do realize that ageism is not ‘you are probably a young person because you have no concept of how the world works and it seems as if you’ve spent the large majority of your life in your room watching VH1’, right?

Like, ageism is a very real and serious thing wherein the very young or very old are forced in live in unbearable conditions because the restrictions of their age make it difficult to object.

…not believing that a lack of knowledge or experience stems from having been recently weaned.

Can we please stop belittling ageism? It ain’t cute.

^ Navigating lots of various legal systems and other bureaucracies while under 18 is very, very difficult. That’s just one major example…
